GETTING STARTED

RIDER QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be enrolled in the LTISD, or private school or home-schooled in the Lake Travis area
• Must be at least in the 6th grade

CYCLING EQUIPMENT

• Mountain Bike (if you do not have one someone may be selling one on the team.)
• Helmet (less than 3 years old, fits properly, no cracks or dents)
• Riding Gloves are highly recommended
• Camelbak or water bottle
• Compressed air cartridge and dispenser, or pump
• Spare tube
• Basic bike toolkit
• Bike lights

HOW TO REGISTER

Register a Rider

The following steps must be completed prior to student-athletes participating in any practices:

1. Fill out the required forms on the Rider Registration Page
2. Add the registration fee to your cart. $325 for all riders.
3. Add any additional (optional) apparel to your cart (check your registration confirmation email for the team store password).
4. Checkout
5. Accept the email invitation to the NICA Pitzone. The invitation will be emailed to you by Team Director within a few days of registration. 
6. Pay the NICA fee for insurance coverage and the Texas League Fee here

• Remember your NICA login information, as this is where you’ll register for races during the season.

Register as a Coach

1. Fill out the required form on the Coach Registration Page
2. Add any additional (optional) apparel to your cart (check your registration confirmation e-mail for the team store password). Coach registration includes a jersey and t-shirt for all NICA certified coaches, L1 - L3. Coaches that are not certified can purchase it separately from the Team Store.
3. Checkout

• Review the NICA Coach License Program and be sure to complete at least all Level 1 requirements before the first practice.

RIDER REGISTRATION FEE

Rider Registration fee includes:

• Team Jersey & T-Shirt
• Coach led skills instruction at practices
• Team equipment and supplies
• Team party
• Race day food
• Shop discounts

Rider Registration fee does not include:

• Travel to/from practices and races
• Lodging
• Bike
• Bike supplies
• Helmet
• Any other items not specified

LEAGUE FEES

The following estimated fees are paid online here when you register in “Pitzone,” prior to participating in any rides. NICA has not released the 2024 season fees so these are subject to change.

• $25 NICA Insurance
• $50 Texas League Fee

RACE FEES

• $200 for all 6 races or $50 per race
• $50 per race – NICA race fees are due 1 week prior to each race, or can be paid in total up front

TEAM STORE

Rider and Coach registrations include a team t-shirt and jersey, but other optional apparel can be purchased through the team store. Items can be purchased when you pay your registration fee, or at a later time by returning to this site. You can find the password to enter the team store in your registration confirmation e-mail.
